Ministry is all about ‘the priesthood of all believers’ as Martin Luther put it. Building a strong ministry here at First EFC means that all the members are doing their part. As Paul says this in 1 Corinthians 12:4-7 (NLT):
4 Now there are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but it is the same Holy Spirit who is the source of them all. 5 There are different kinds of service in the church, but it is the same Lord we are serving. 6 There are different ways God works in our lives, but it is the same God who does the work through all of us. 7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us as a means of helping the entire church.
Building ministry teams and empowering ministry is the goal of our leadership here at First EFC. We may do this imperfectly but the mandate of Scripture is clear; every member of the Body had a part to play on a ministry team. We invite every person to minister in the body on one of the many team ministries within our church. Each one of us has a way to minster.
